Rex Turner and Carl Dustin, Old Shipmates reminiscing about Providence CL-82

Carl Dustin, a plankowner aboard Providence when she was first commissioned as Cl-82 on 15 May 1945 was a Fire Control Technician Second Class. He served aboard her from 15 May 1945 to 15 March 1946 and started the first ship's entertainment system (later called Radio KPRO) aboard Providence and also was the first editor of the ship's newspaper, "Jolly Roger" (later called the Privateer).
